Draw a boundary

Created by Nick Walters, Modified on Thu, 26 Jun at 6:58 PM by Nick Walters

Each field can have 2 boundary types:

  • Working boundary - represents the area typically worked
  • Field boundary - represents the official field parcel

Boundaries can either be drawn manually in Farm-IQ Pro, or imported from another source.  To add a boundary manually:

  1. In the tree menu, select the desired field.
  2. Either right-click on the desired field name in the tree menu and select 'Draw Boundary' or, in the 'Field Records' tab, click anywhere on the grey square where it says 'Click anywhere to add a boundary' (if you already have a boundary, it will be displayed in place of the grey square).
  3. Select which type of boundary you would like to add.
  4. Find the desired field on the satellite map and click on the field boundary to place your first point.
  5. Continue placing all desired points and click your original point to close the polygon. If you are happy with the boundary you have drawn, click 'Save'.
