How do I share a farm?

Any user can invite another stakeholder to share a farm.  To do this, select the farm that you want to share in the tree menu, then in the Field Records screen, click the Add Share button.




You’ll be taken to the Share setup screen (you may be prompted to sign in again) where you can confirm what access you would like to give the recipient.  Here you can select the following options:

  • share the whole farm or a limited selection of fields
  • share all information or limit it to certain job types
  • what permission level the recipient should have (Full, Restricted or Read-only permissions)




Once you have set your options, simply enter the email address of the person you want to invite, click Send Invite and we will do the rest! 


When the person you have invited to share a farm is not a registered user they will be asked to create an account with a 7 day free trial before they can accept the invitation (see below). As part of the registration process they will also be able to download and install the Farm-IQ Pro software.



Once registered, the Sharing invitation will be displayed on the dashboard of the Farm-IQ Admin screen, where the recipient can either accept or decline the invitation.


Once the recipient has accepted your invitation, you’ll see a summary of the Share in the Field Records screen, as shown below.
